The Congress promotes scientific research, encourages the adoption of new technologies and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and commercial opportunities to support the professional development of its participants.
Dates: From 28 January to 5 February 2028.
The Congress will have three stages: Pre-Congress in Antigua Guatemala and the South Coast; Congress in Guatemala City; and Post-Congress in Quetzaltenango.
The Congress welcomes ISSCT members. Membership is open to all individuals and organisations involved in the study, application or dissemination of sugar cane technology.

Yes. All accepted papers will be published in the Congress Proceedings, which will be available for download on the ISSCT website.
For all approved papers included in the programme, the lead author must be registered to attend the Congress and present the work. The registration deadline is 30 June 2027.
